“If you don’t have time to read,
you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write.
Simple as that.”Stephen King

Welcome to The Literary Boutique!

My love for reading novels started at a young age. I remember reading a lot during primary school. In fact, I recall reading my entire school’s collection of library books. Perhaps this was why my parents banned the television. Since then, I have spent a lot of time in bookstores and libraries.

I have a passion for reading novels published during the 19th century. From Jane Austen to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, there is a reason why I love classic literature. I love the language; the language that has been lost through time. I think I was born in the wrong century.

Apart from classic literature, I also have a soft spot for science fiction and fantasy novels, including Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams. I love how my mind can be filled with imagination just by reading a book. It’s an escape to another world.

Nevertheless, I will read anything that I can get my hands on. I even once sat down with a book about quantum physics. It was rather fascinating. Will I be reviewing it? It’s slightly out of my depth, but you never know.

Currently, I am writing chapter by chapter critiques, the usual book reviews and a few literary inspirations. Why do I critique? I like to keep my mind busy. Writing my thoughts down is the best way to express myself. It also improves written skills. But most of all, it helps me to fully remember the books that I have previously read.

I hope you enjoy my reviews. Comments and feedback are always welcome.
